Silver Medal at DWWA

For its first presentation in a contest, our Bandol 2014 Altum gets a beautiful silver medal, with a score of 91/100 at the most prestigious wines competition in the world: the Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA).

This wonderful reward for our first Bandol Red wine reflects the great potential of this wine, whose power and elegance charmed the jury, composed with professionals and wine experts.

  • Bandol Rouge 2014

    2014 sees the birth of Château Canadel. The nose is very aromatic and elegant, revealing flavors of red fruits, spices, liquorice, blond tobacco. We find these flavors in the mouth, with smooth and fruity tannins. The first sip is juicy, and then the wine reveals unexpected depths and lengths with subtle spicy and minty notes.

  • Bandol Rouge Altum 2014

    The cuvee Altum comes from the highest part of Canadel’s Vineyard at 250 meters high, facing the Mediterranean sea. The soil is made of very deep clay, with calcareous rocks. At this altitude, with deep soils and a gently windy climate, the Mourvèdre gives its best, between strength and elegance.
