Nose
In its youth, the classic 2017 vintage reveals intense aromas of fresh red fruit, with hints of cherry, raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry. Delicate accents of licorice and black pepper add a spicy touch, while nuances of violet and garrigue add a floral dimension.
After 5 to 7 years of ageing, it offers a complex aromatic fragrance. Intense aromas of fresh red fruit have evolved into notes of ripers black fruit, such as plum and black cherry. Nuances of leather, undergrowth and sweet spices have developed, adding a complex, spicy dimension to the whole.
Mouth
These intense aromas are also present on the palate, in a lovely juice full of freshness and drinkability.
After several years of ageing, it has a smooth texture and perfectly integrated tannins. Riped black fruit flavors are dominating, with hints of plum, candied black cherry and blackberry. Notes of leather, tobacco and licorice are blend harmoniously, leading to a persistent and an elegant finish.
